Keith woke up to a splash of water and the dirt floor of his hut. Something in his nose snapped as he hit the ground, waking him instantly. He gasped in pain and shock, mouth opening to scream. Someone kneed his back and shoved his head down so he inhaled dirt instead, choking the sound. His nose ached and his hair was dripping, the taste of copper on his lips.
